Data East’s Jurassic Park pinball is based on the original 1993 film. The pin integrates the theme very well and has a great playfield layout. It’s simply a lot of fun. Regarding the playfield layout, I’ll paraphrase what some friends told me. “Data East’s Jurassic Park is the best Pat Lawlor machine that Pat Lawlor didn’t make,” they said (more or less). Data East appears to have borrowed liberally from Lawlor’s designs. Specifically, there are a lot of similarities between Jurassic Park and Adams Family.
